The only thing I ask is if you watch it, make sure you have a bunch of toilet paper or something. Or sit on some plastic-covered furniture or something... because you will be orgasming throughout the experience. You have been warned.
This is the FUNNIEST thing I've read in months, and I don't think you need to be a comics fan to enjoy it either... because Rob Liefeld's art is a train wreck. Reading it, also remember that this man was one of the most popular artists for a while and is still a big draw today.
It doesn't matter if you don't know who Rob Liefeld is (a comics artist, and a piss poor one in many people's eyes)... you will learn by reading this. The commentary is just amazing. And the art.. holy God.
Not sure if other people have seen this before, but it was the first machinima using TF2 assets outside of Valve. And it's really great... and dare I say somewhat beautiful? Great way to enjoy the style of the characters and backgrounds of TF2 as well. And some great gags, with a lovely soundtrack.
Other than needing a little editing as well, I'd say it's also good cinema.
Give it a watch. It's about 7 or 8 minutes with credits.
This is so perfect, but most of the humor may be lost on people who don't play Team Fortress 2 (and if you don't, why aren't you?!). However, if you DO... you will find endless humor from it.
Please note that it does take some of the more graphic shots from Saving Private Ryan, but only a little so it should be safe for work.
One of the best things about it? When I am playing guitar by myself, I sometimes gyrate and act like a fool... when you add two more people doing the exact same thing, it's hilariously goofy and fun. There was even a "back to back" playing moment.
Soooo funny. Not a 100 percent fan of the Strat though. I used the Gibson from GH3 most of the night and then switched to the Strat when guests left. May just take some getting used to , but I don't like the feel of the strum bar but it may just be because I am not used to it/using the wrong mechanism for the model. I haven't used the drums yet, but Tony was f'in rocking out on them earlier in the night so I have confidence they will be fun.
So, Gamespot decided in their ultimate wisdom to ban my account on their site. I can see no reason why they would do that other than my user name, because there is a small group of people out there who are unable to separate "titter" (a nervous, stifled laugh) and "tit" (slang for the female breast). I can only assume that an overaggressive bot grabbed it and an admin approved the banning without thinking, because it's not like I do much on the site other than viewing the reviews, reading some of the forums, and stuff like that. Also gamefaqs and downloading stuff. I even used to have a Gamespot Complete account that I occasionally think about reinstating (it ran out last year). And yet no one ever said anything about it until now.
Now part of me is also a little concerned that maybe someone hacked the account and did something bad with it, but the reasoning why I lost the account was based around "Admin discretion" which makes me think it was the former issue. Which is really somewhat ignorant on their part. I mean every once and a while I get people who are like... "I don't get your name... " and I have to patiently explain to them what a titter is, and how it has nothing to do with sexual organs.
Anyway I wrote them a long note explaining things and being like... WTF, politely. Here it is.
